Our personalized process involves four key stages; a briefing consultation, the shoot, a detailed viewing and then final delivery.

Briefing Consultation

Once you have contacted us, we will book in a briefing consultation of approximately 60 minutes either in person, or over the telephone.
This is where we share information, ask questions and really get down to details – discussing topics such as what you would like to achieve with the session and highlighting anything special you would like to capture in the shoot.
At Silver Castle Portraits, we want to know what is most important to you, so we can customize our service to suit your needs and create a memorable, enjoyable and personalized experience.

The Shoot

Our “Beloved” photography sessions are conducted on location – we recommend that you and your partner think of a place of significance to you, such as beach you went for your first date or your favourite picnic spot. We recommend a place that isn’t to popular with people as this will give you a chance to be comfortable and focus on each other- “Beloved” sessions can become quite emotionally charged and an intimate setting is preferred.
Once we meet our photographer will select the best area for the session. “Beloved” sessions don’t feel like a photo shoot- there is no posing, awkward moments or one-thing-fits-all approaches. Couples have actually fallen in love again during a “Beloved” session!

We will gently guide and direct the process, but on the whole, it is a fairly natural and informal approach. In line with this style of photography, most clients favour a casual wardrobe with light hair and makeup. For those who would like their wardrobe, hair and makeup professionally styled, our stylist can be booked for the session and will come to your home to assist with outfit selection and help make you look fabulous and feel great.

Wedding photography coverage.
Silver Castle Portraits is all about you and your special day- during our briefing consultations we will have discussed your wedding day in detail and agreed on the coverage.
In general, our photographer will first see the bride as she’s getting ready for the day, we’ll then go meet the groom as he’s waiting anxiously for her. We’ll photograph the ceremony making sure we capture the most important moments. Usually straight after the ceremony we try to do the formal portraits with families and then take the couple away for 30-60 minutes. We know that our couples really appreciate this time- this is where they can relax and enjoy each other on their most important day. During this session we take those breath-taking, fine art portraits you’ll cherish forever. During the reception we’ll make sure to document the venue, decorations and guests.

Viewing and Selection

Our viewing session is typically booked in one to three weeks after the shoot. We come to your home and present the photographs from the session, discussing and highlighting all the details in each shot.
Together, we select your favourite images and will go through how you would like them formatted, printed and displayed. All our photographs are printed on 200-year Archive Quality Kodak Professional Supra Endura and we also handle framing, photobooks and any other storage or display needs. Production and Delivery

Once your selection has been finalised, we will organise the printing and production of your images and bring them direct to you. If you need, we can even assist with the display and mounting of portraits in your home!

When considering lifestyle photography, groupings of portraits in a series are an effective and contemporary way to tell your story. At Five Castles Portraits we will gladly walk you through our Wall Gallery options, showcasing all of our most popular arrangements.
Because part of the custom service we offer is to assist in creating interesting and unique displays for your home, our artisans will help plan your wall galleries with your favourite images, coupled with frames, or displayed as mounted prints or museum wrap canvases. Our goal is to provide you with images as dynamic and original as you are.
Alternatively, you can opt for a portrait collection in a form of a set of beautifully mounted photographs that come in a stylish box and an easel for easy display.

Custom Framed Wall Prints

For ultimate style and appeal we suggest custom framed wall prints. Your photograph is printed on a quality board and professionally framed.
For this custom treatment, your photographic print will be carefully mounted directly to a thick, lightweight board and finished with a solid 20mm edge.
These frames are designed to be tough, durable, warp free, resistant to finger prints, and scuffing. Moreover, because the print is protected by ArtShield overlays glass is not necessary. The printed image will stand-out clear, sharp and free of added reflection, showing the full beauty and colour of your image.

Prices

Our standard rate for a portrait session is $200 (payable on booking) and it includes: 2 hours photo session at your chosen location for you and your beloved, professional post-processing of images, my transportation in Melbourne area, consultation before the session and viewing experience at your house.

Files We include all photographs in web-resolution to share with friends and family.
Wall prints from $199
Wall portraits come in a variety of sizes from 8″x10″ to 40″x60″, finishes and framing options.
Albums from $550
All albums are hand crafted and printed in Japan to highest standards.
Signature collection boxes from $500
Perfect alternative to album. These collections provide you with a selection of your favorite photographs, ready to display or give away.
